SAVARY & ZAFFUTO

Creative and Show directors

SAVARY & ZAFFUTO

The creative duo Savary & Zaffuto brings together stage director Manon Savary and artistic director Marc Zaffuto. Together, they have shaken up and redefined the codes of cabaret through their creations for Manko Cabaret, an extravagant and highly secretive nightlife venue located beneath the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

Their work spans the worlds of fashion, music, and contemporary art, defined by a sophisticated and striking aesthetic. Manon and Marc regularly collaborate with fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier, as well as multidisciplinary artist and muse Michèle Lamy, on high-profile events.

Their shows are infused with a fierce spirit of freedom, as Manon and Marc playfully blend a wide range of disciplines: dance, circus, striptease, contemporary art, fashion, drag, burlesque, and more. Truly one of a kind, their performances radiate a provocative, sexy, and daring energy, balanced with a perfectly measured dose of humor. Their shows are always defined by a refined aesthetic, where every detail is carefully crafted.

MANON SAVARY

Manon Savary, the youngest daughter of Jérôme Savary and Mona Heftre, is now an established figure in the performing arts. Proud to come from a family of artists, she grew up backstage at the Magic Circus, surrounded by theater, music hall, feathers, sequins, melancholy animals, cheerful and wistful actors, great literary works, and classical music. Holding a master's degree in Theater Studies from the Sorbonne, she has followed in her father's footsteps. The stage is her kingdom.

After spending several years working as an artistic collaborator and technical director on numerous productions in France and abroad, she made her directorial debut in 2006 with L'Illusion Comique, Corneille's baroque play, performed in the open-air theater of the Château du Champ-de-Bataille, home of interior designer Jacques Garcia. She went on to direct productions for Opéra en Plein Air, including Bizet's Carmen in 2010 and Mozart's Don Giovanni in 2014.

In 2017, Manon took on the artistic direction and staging of D.I.V.A., an innovative and unconventional interpretation of the world of opera, presented at the Théâtre Montparnasse. She also collaborated with photographer Louis Décamps, with whom she created the show's promotional film.

Her artistic universe naturally led her to the world of music hall and cabaret. As the "show doctor" for Thierry Mugler's Mugler Follies at the Théâtre Comédia, she further developed her expertise in spectacular performances. From 2015 onward, she directed productions for the new Parisian cabaret Le Manko, located at 15 Avenue Montaigne, beneath the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. There, she created four seasons of shows in collaboration with artistic director Marc Zaffuto, her talented, free-spirited creative partner.

MARC ZAFFUTO

Marc Zaffuto revolutionized Parisian nightlife by launching the Club Sandwich parties around the world (2005–2015) and Manko Cabaret in Paris (2015–2019).

Discovering his passion for nightlife and fashion at an early age, Marc successfully transformed it into an impressive career, driven above all by passion and enthusiasm.

From his early days working as an artistic director alongside Tom Ford at the Gucci Group to creating international events for major fashion and luxury houses, everything seemed to lead him toward bringing his talent to the performing arts.

His creative universe blends elegance with celebration, sensuality with boldness: a true celebration of freedom.

His collaboration with Manon Savary at Manko Cabaret in Paris laid the foundations for an explosive creative partnership that continues to bring ambitious projects to life today. Together, Marc and Manon create magic — the stage is their playground.
